In Memory of: "The Southern Lilly"
Hello Everyone!! We three represent "Brett's Blankets"!! WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT OUR NEW PROJECT!! It all started when we purchased a sailboat for our family!! We named the sailboat, "Southern Lilly"! It was in honor of our Great Grandmother who had a passion for Day Lillies. We would sail to different marinas/ports on the east coast and explore/stay for a few days at the time. We soon learned that even in the summertime, on the coast, it can get a little chilli. We began to search for blankets that were both warm, BIG, and durable. Being unable to find what we were looking for, it was then that we set out on a mission to find material that was both durable yet warm!!
We wanted the outside shell to have a rugged, unique look and durablity so we chose "Duck Canvas" made of 100% cotton and "Fleece" for the inside!! We felt like this fleece would offer softness, warmth and cuddlebility!!
Due to the fact that these blankets are HANDMADE, the approximate measurement is 77" x 55". (BIG)
They are truly wonderful, soft, durable and very WARM!!
They make great presents for adults or children!! We can also put names on the blankets. Our smallest sister takes hers around like a security blanket. WE LOVE OUR BLANKETS!! WE HOPE YOU WILL CHOOSE TO PURCHASE AND ENJOY A BLANKET, ALSO!!
On January 18th, 2007 we awoke to the sounds of sirens!! Our "Southern Lilly" was stored in a nearby building that was attached to a local business. By the time firefighters reached the facility the raging fire had consumed a building and "The Southern Lilly"! The remains of the "Southern Lilly" consisted up a scorched trailer!!
This project we deem in Memory of "The Southern Lilly!"
